My 1 year mark is coming up pretty quickly and I will post pictures at that point. In the meantime, I wanted to say that I have changed my mind on some of the ingredients I have been using. At this point I really don't think that the allantoin is necessary for the long term nor the vitamin B6, therefore I have removed those from the mix and it is now just PS and DMSO. I have also created a basic dosing schedule. See the pages on the right.
As far as progress is concerned, it is difficult to judge. I feel like my hair is thicker and that I have improvement but I was hoping for a faster response. I have decided to maintain my current regiment for another year.
It took my almost 8 years to get to where I was when I started this, so I guess it is foolish for me to believe that it would only take a year to regrow my hair completely. I do believe that this definitely extends the lifespan of each follicle as my eyebrows simply refuse to shed and I am continually needing to groom them.
Thanks!!
Glad to see you are still hanging in there!
ReplyDeleteHi, maybe you can suggest me what could I mix with DMSO? I'm female & I have no problems with androgens... my hairloss is caused probably because of my aoutoimmune disease and vitamin absorption problems... it seems that my hair does not get no minerals and vitamins no matter what I do, so I would like to try DMSO. P.S. I hope my English is fine, don't judge an European! ;)
ReplyDeleteIm not a doctor or anything so keep that in mind and check with them. I would suggest the same with DMSO and PS plus biotin. The DMSO is antioxidant by itself, so it alone will help combat your immune system. The immune systems first line of defense is something called an oxidative breath in which your immune cells release large amounts of free radicals in order to break down the cellular walls and destroy the bad cells/bacteria. The DMSO is oxygen hungry so it will absorb these free radicals and slow prevent them from damaging your cells.
ReplyDeleteThe PS is the major building block of the cellular membranes so the point of using it is to reinforce the cellular walls so that they are stronger against an oxidative attack. Also, PS has a low enough molecular weight to allow the DMSO to pull it into the individual cells. This enhances the effects of the PS.
Biotin is essential supplement for cellular division and will help speed along any recovery. It is also low enough molecular weight to reap benefits from mixing with DMSO.
DMSO will dry out your hair, so you will likely want to apply an oil or conditioner the day after applying DMSO or at least an hour after and rinse before.
When are you posting your yearly checkpoint? Excited to see results....
ReplyDeleteMy old camera broke but I got a new one. I will try and post tonight.
