I am going to start posting comparison pictures for the 4 month mark. It takes a lot of time to go through my thousands of pictures to find photos that represent equal hair length and angle. So I will be posting updates over the next couple of days. Today I am posting photos of my bald spot. I have put markers on the photo to give approximate equal locations. Let me know what you think.
Also, from this point on, my hair growth should begin to accelerate as hairs come out of the dorment stage. I am really looking forward to the next couple of months.
As always, right click the photo and open in new tab to see the highest resolution.

Huh, it's clearly a noticeable increase! Great job! I'm going to have to forward this site to my brother who is in desperate need of this.
ReplyDeleteOne question, though: have you noticed if this is more efficacious for the crown than for elsewhere?
Well, I will be posting photos of my temples within the next day or two. I believe that this will be effective everywhere.
ReplyDeleteThe growth of each hair is dependent on the health of the surrounding hairs. That is why growth around my cowlick is slower
Places on my scalp that were completely devoid of hair have regrown some hair but not nearly as much as areas that still had some hair.
In all likely hood; my temples, reverse widows peek and cowlick will be the last to fill in while the rest gets thicker.
Brad - why do you say 4 months, didn't you start this much earlier? Or did I miss something.
ReplyDeleteI started earlier with a PS that had very high fat content. So that mix was like a paste which was difficult to apply. So the level of PS that was absorbed was likely very minimal. While I did see some results, I felt that it wasn't representative of this project with the dry form.
ReplyDeleteThanks Brad. Can you also tell if we can just use the current PS (which you have linked on the side of this blog)+ DMSO in a reduced form (dosage less, to avoid sides) while skipping Allantoin and B6? Would that still be ok, or are Allantoin and B6 essential.
ReplyDeleteThe PS I linked on my website is the correct one to use. The allantoin and b6 were added as accelerators. I think you should still have the effect without them but it may take longer.
ReplyDeleteAs for side effects, it is best to apply in the morning and early evening. If your experiencing side effects you can dilute further with DMSO or distilled water.
ReplyDeleteOne last question, if this product stinks (DMSO that is) how do you manage work etc. Do you wash it off after a few hours? And can one use any shampoo like Nizoral or will plain water do.
ReplyDeleteI am also assuming this will not cause any long term side effects and is fairly safe. Is that assumption correct or are there some risks associated that we should know about? You mentioned weight loss, does this increase the risk of diabetes or does it affect sugar conversion or some such thing?
ReplyDeleteNot holding you responsible or anything, just wanted to be fully aware (as much as possible anyhow) of what I was getting into. Thanks!
I am currently using Minox and am fed up of it.
My checkup with my doctor is in another week. So, if anything comes up from my blood work and I may get an ultrasound done of my gallbladder to check for enlargement.
ReplyDeleteAs I have stated before the side effects were only experienced in the first couple months of treatment which I believe is due to my body adjusting to the lower cortisol levels. In fact, I have suffered from IBS and gallbladder problems all my life. And in the last couple months my IBS has gone into recession. The weight that I lost has returned.
In regards to the smell. It's only noticeable for the first 15 mins. After that you would have to smell my head to notice it. Also, after 15 minutes you can assume that the DMSO has already migrated everything it can into your body, so feel free to rinse your head after waiting 15 mins.
If I have a meeting in the morning I will get up and apply the mix. Then go make some coffee and brush my teeth and then rinse my head off before I go out the door.
I only rinse my hair with water when showering. And only use shampoo on occasion. I never apply the mix after using shampoo as I don't want the DMSO to pull the shampoo's ingredients into my body. Check your shampoo's ingredients and check the molecular weight of the ingredients. If they are less than 1000g/mol then the DMSO will be able to transfer it.
Also, most shampoos contain ingredients to control dandruff. And they work in the same manner as allantoin, so combining the mix and shampoo will likely make your head peel a lot.

ReplyDeleteYou said you were taking minox. What is your schedule with that? Are you planning on continuing with the minox at the same time? I would be interested in seeing the results of a combined approach. Maybe minox in the morning and this mix in the early evening.
That was going to be my next approach if my mix ends up not working.
I used to use Minox once a day, for around 5 days a week at least. But now I purchased this AstressinB spectral thingy so have reduced it to some 3 days per week. Even that is no panacea. It does seem to have reduced my shedding though.
ReplyDeleteProblem with Minox is the foam doesnt work - sticks mostly on hair, and the liquid gives dandruff and makes my scalp itch. Minox works on hair but also gave me older looking skin, horrid dark circles and generally made me look older.
