I am a little disappointed right now because I think that this is going to take longer than I originally thought. I have noticed some of the new hairs falling out and under examination I have noticed that the hair matrix and hair bulb are much smaller in comparison to a normal hair. This leads me to believe that there has been physical damage and over time the hair follicle matrix has slowly become keratinized. Effectively walling in where the hair matrix should normally grow. However, even though hairs are shedding, I am still experiencing new hair growth. It is my belief that over time the allantoin will continue to soften the keratinized cells and the new hair will continue to push those softened cells upward and out. This means that multiple hair cycles will need to occur before the hair is strong and rooted well enough to be self sustaining.
Thanks as always for following my blog.
On one more note. The new hairs seems to grow within groups or clusters. I have been sick lately but I have been working on a detailed post of the side effects and benefits of lowering your cortisol levels. I'll post that as soon as I am done.
Would it make some sense to use the DMSO to dislodge the 'gunk' before going full-bore? Say, using it every time you shower for a period, then returning to the full-potency tonic?
ReplyDeleteWell the allantoin is the keratolytic so that is what is most important to softening the keratinized cells. I think that the CRF blocking is decreasing the resting phase for my hairs or is just getting a lot more to grow. I have a ton of hairs that are just barely breaking skin. I am not 100% sure yet.
ReplyDeletethis is interesting.
ReplyDeleteJust remember that DMSO can cause kidney problems. better to go easy on it.
